Walk: South Africa

Walk: South Africa, is a performance piece made by a group of South African artists in response to Maya Krishna Rao's The Walk. Rao created 'Walk' as a response to the gang-rape and murder of Jyoti Pandey. We decided, with Rao's permission, to create Walk: South Africa in early 2013, as a response to the gang-rape and murder of Anene Booysen.

Langeberg Youth Arts Project

The Mothertongue Project has, since 2012, been implementing programmes in the region. Our focus is on developing creative expression, leadership and entrepreneurial skills amongst young men and women. We see our involvement as one that grows and develops over time with the McGregor, Robertson, Nkqubela, and surrounding farm community networks.
